Joe is the right person to be President of the WFD.  Joseph J. Murray’s 24 years of work with the international deaf community,  his in-depth knowledge of issues facing deaf people around the world, and his years of experience working within the WFD makes him ready to take charge from Day One to work with national deaf organizations, deaf people, and the international human rights movement to advance the WFD’s work!

Joe has worked with numerous partners for over two decades to advance the human rights of deaf people. He has participated in human rights training on every continent with deaf people from around the world. Joe’s wide network among deaf communities, the disability movement and the United Nations will allow the WFD to promote full equality for all deaf people, everywhere.
