Human Rights Work

Joe has worked for more than two decades to advance the human rights of deaf people around the world.  

Joe has served on the WFD Board since 2003, and has been WFD Vice President since 2015. He is a member of the Board of the International Disability Alliance.

Visited deaf communities from almost 80 countries

Gave an average of 12 or more workshops and lectures every year in the past 10 years

Work with deaf associations on every continent as well as WFD regional secretariats

Experience with the United Nations

Joe has represented the WFD at the United Nations and its human rights agencies, at CRPD and treaty bodies and at international organizations. He is ready to work from Day 1!
